The Tomaselli has always been a favourite stomping ground for illustrious guests. Venerable old families from Salzburg can be encountered here, as well as business people, artists and tourists. 

From Mozart to Karajan

During the Salzburg Festival season, the Café teems with a whole host of actors, opera stars and international Festival-goers of great renown. In the olden days, personalities such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Max Reinhardt and Herbert von Karajan regularly frequented the Tomaselli.
